Mini Wood Gloat...

I’ve been running a little short on Box-making wood. Today I came home from work and:
What to my wondering eyes should appear,
but a miniature table and not made from Veneer!
It’s legs were in ruin, and no longer stable,
but I know what to do, with this former table!
Up to my Apartment, I ran with it like a flash,
another Great Find, that didn’t cost any cash!
I gave it a quick sanding,
after I had brought it from the landing,
To see what I could see, to see what it might be.
I thought it was Maple, when I looked at it fairly,
but after a quick sanding, I think it might be Cherry!
Five-eighths inches thick, in length over twenty,
at seventeen wide, I think I’ll have plenty!
I’ll sleep well tonight, and dream of my find,
And Thank the Wood Gods, for being so kind!!
